Gala Dinner Capping Ceremony

A record-breaking rugby season deserves an elegant gala dinner, complete with all the pomp and ceremony, to recognize the hard work and dedication of all the players who helped steer our rugby teams to victory this year. Friday, 16 September 2022, saw the ballroom at Kelvin Grove in Newslands packed to the rafters as rugby players, coaches, parents, teachers and supporters turned out to celebrate a great rugby year.

Keynote speaker: Ryan Stamrood
Extreme adventurer, ice swimmer, motivational speaker, performance coach and Rondebosch Old Boy (E1991) Ryan Stramrood delivered a challenging and inspiring keynote address. He highlighted the power of a person’s will and pushing past the boundaries of what you thought was “impossible”.

Giving credit where credit is due
Gavin Cowley, Master of Ceremonies, expertly guided the evening from one highlight to another. Speeches of thanks and recognition were made by Bosch Rugby’s administrative leaders, parents had the privilege of capping their sons, prizes were awarded and many a tear was shed. Thank you to everybody and all the sponsors who helped to make the evening a huge success!
