Dr Leigh Gordon is a Sport & Exercise Medicine physician who has been involved in sports medicine for almost 20 years. She was the team doctor for the South African national Rugby Sevens men’s and women’s squads for more than six years.

Today she is in private practice as part of the Cape Sports Medicine group, based at the Sports Science Institute. Dr Gordon continues to work works across two international sports federations, namely the International Hockey Federation (FIH) and World Rugby. As one of World Rugby’s Independent Concussion Consultants, she will be paying special attention to concussions and sports injuries during her talk.
